Rita Campbell

Rita Campbell is a resident of Kent Village, Englewood, CO.  When she retired from the University of Denver her husband gave her a gift certificate to Judy Patti’s Painting Studio in Littleton as a Christmas present.  This was her very first introduction to watercolor art and she continues training with Judy.

 

Art Medium - Experiments with different textures and styles including watercolor, acrylic, alcohol ink, coffee, encaustic and bronze.  Creates and teaches encaustic art.  (Encaustic, which means to burn in, is an ancient art medium painted with melted bees wax.)   Rita signs her artwork with her nickname REET. 

 

Art Memberships – Roxborough Arts Council, Littleton Fine Arts Guild and Signature Member of the Colorado Watercolor Society. 

 

Art Work  - Currently in The Depot Art Gallery, RoxArts Gallery and periodic displays in Bemis and Roxborough Libraries, Stanton Town Hall Gallery,  Gilpin County Art Gallery, The Firehouse Gallery, Malley Center, Colorado Audubon Society and various art shows.  

 

Favorite Award – Best of Show/New Dimensions Art Show

 

Rita holds a BSBA degree in Marketing from the University of Denver.  She is active in the community and is currently on the Arapahoe County 4-H Foundation Board, the Denver University Retiree Board of Directors and an officer in her P.E.O. Sorority.

 

She appreciates the support of her husband, daughters, grandchildren and friends and for the opportunities that have opened her awareness to the beauty of art.
