Erica Hollander

Erica Hollander is a lawyer, Ph.D., psychodramatist, and a teacher who took up painting and drawing in the great Denver blizzard of 2003. After being housebound for a week or more, she found that painting, which she had not tried since she was a child, had simply captured her imagination. She now works in watercolor, ink, pastel and acrylics.

Her aim is to generate what might be called emotional resonance in the viewer, and she tends to use direct statement, and strong color and line to try to achieve that. Among her favorite subjects are people, landscapes, and animals. She will work with a client to try to make an image both she and the client enjoy.
