Colette Brooks
Colette is inspired by nature’s color, rhythm and shadows to create her award winning oil paintings.
Completing a degree with the Colorado Institute of Art, gave her the confidence in knowing that what she had been creating from the heart had the essence of good design. She has studied under Dennis R. Pendleton and Ken Velastro with the Art Students League of Denver. Colette also studied under Chuck Ceraso whose lineage traces back to the French and American Impressionists through his teacher, Henry Hensche, whom studied under Charles Hawthorne, whom studied with Claude Monet.
Her style has landed her commissioned paintings of Europe, animal portraits, and Colorado landscapes. She’s also been called upon to jury several exhibits. Colette is the featured artist in the 2006 November issue of North Light Book Club magazine as the ‘Member of the Issue’.
“It is when we as artists, connect with our Divine maker’s intention, realize the purpose of what we’re doing, empowering us to stay the course.”
