ROX Arts is kicking off 2020 by co-sponsoring "Inspired", a one-day juried art show and sale on January 24th. The show will take place at Sundial House, a private club overlooking 8200 acres of wilderness in the gated BackCountry community of Highlands Ranch. We are seeking exceptional creations from local Colorado artists to feature at this event. Selection will be limited to approximately 15 artists. From each selected artist, 3 to 5 pieces will be chosen for display.

Eligibility: Open to local Colorado artists age 18 and older. Artist must be able to personally deliver work to the show.

Awards:

Best of Show: $200

​

First Place 2D: $100

Second Place 2D: $50

​

First Place 3D: $100

Second Place 3D: $50

​

Award winners will be announced and ribbons awarded at start of show.

​

Application Fee: $20.00 (non-refundable) for 3 to 5 images juried

Juror: Moira Casey

Moira received a BA in Art History from Kalamazoo College and an MA in Art History, Museum Studies from the University of Denver.  She has held positions at several local arts organizations, including Denver Art Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, Vicki Myhren Gallery, ROX Arts, Stanton Gallery at the Town Hall Arts Center, Center for the Arts Evergreen, and NineDot Arts.  She is currently Curator of Exhibits at the Littleton Museum.

Submission Requirements and Rules:

 

Reviewing submissions of high quality 2D and 3D media (excluding jewelry, craft items, and digital art).

 

• 2D works, no larger than 48" X 60", must be on gallery wrapped canvas or framed, and securely wired to hang. Photography accepted. Most 2D works will be displayed on easels. To ensure safety, artists must provide their own easels for works weighing more than 20 pounds or measuring larger than 36" X 36".

• 3D works, no larger than 24" X 24" X 60", must be free standing and/or have appropriate display stands that will not damage venue furniture or flooring. 

 

Note: A work my be withdrawn at juror's discretion if it was not accurately represented in the image submitted for review.

Schedule:

​

• Application Deadline: November 30, 2019 for 2D, extended to midnight December 7th for 3D artists

​

• Notifications: Artists will be notified of acceptance or rejection via email by December 15th.

​

• Delivery: Accepted artwork must be delivered in person to Sundial House between 11am and 1pm on Friday January 24th.

​

• Show: January 24th, 3pm - 9pm

​

• Pick-up of Artwork: Unsold artwork must be picked up by artist or authorized proxy when exhibit closes at 9pm

All sales transactions will be handled through ROX Arts, and subject to a 10% commission to cover processing and handling fees. Please consider commission when pricing your art. Checks will be mailed to artists in early February.
